Building contractors now have a smart phone designed especially for their working environment.

A device designed to enhance the building contractor’s working life, the Samsung GALAXY S4 Active, is now available from Samsung Electronics South Africa.

Building contractors no longer have to worry about damaging their devices on site. This smart phone is fully sealed to protect it from dust particles as well as water at a depth of one meter, with up to 30 minutes of submersion. It also comes equipped with a water-resistant earphone jack, enabling phone use in unfavourable conditions.

An eco-friendly hotel

In order to create a 102-room, three-star hotel in the upmarket suburb of Hatfield, Pretoria, DNJ Projects, who were responsible for Protea Hotel Manor’s drywall partitioning and ceilings, decided to use Lafarge Gypsum plasterboards as well as Lafarge’s complementary grid and finishing material as their building materials.
